When WOW Classic Burning Crusade Goldoriginally launched back in 2004, it drew in a huge number of players and rapidly grew to have tens of thousands of subscribers worldwide. Apart from the sheer scale of this match, a large force behind the success of this MMO was that the world in which it had been set.
Azeroth has existed since the first Warcraft: Orcs and Humans started in 1994 and the subsequent Warcraft two games further built on the narrative and lore. Warcraft 3 was possibly the most popular of these early games and introduced us to a number of the characters which would go on to play large roles in World of Warcraft, such as Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmore, along with Arthas Menethil, among many others.
When World of Warcraft launched in 2004, all the lore, background, and places that was laid out in the earlier Warcraft games have been brought to life in Blizzard's vast MMO.
If you have just got a few hours each week to devote to an MMO, Classic might not be the match for you personally and you might be better off considering modern Warcraft to fulfill that Azeroth-shaped hole. Having said this, if you are not particularly concerned with endgame content like raiding or max-level dungeons and only wish to explore Azeroth because it had been in 2006 then by all means, carry on. But if you want to enjoy everything that Classic offers, then you should be ready to devote a great deal of time not just levelling your character however finishing various Attunement quests and grinding standing to get a few of those late-game instances.
World of Warcraft Classic doesn't have those quality-of-life improvements that you may be accustomed to in modern Warcraft - or really many other current MMOs. For starters, the scaling of enemies is a lot less forgiving and you could find yourself getting rapidly overwhelmed it you take on over two enemies at once without preparation. Travelling from one place to another in Classic Azeroth is also far more time consuming - flight points aren't as plentiful as they are these days and with in-game gold not as readily come by, you buy Burning Crusade Classic Gold can end up unable to save even buy your first Riding Skill and bracket. |
